Before you hire
Questions Triangle homeowners ask us
How do you price your work, and are quotes free?
We provide a clear written quote before any work begins, so you approve the scope and price up front. Smaller jobs like a fixture or outlet are usually a flat rate, while panel upgrades and rewires are quoted after we confirm the details. We don't add surprise line items — if the scope changes, we talk it through first.
How soon can you schedule my job?
Most non-emergency work across Raleigh, Cary and Durham is booked within the same week you call. Larger projects like whole-home rewires or generator installs are scheduled once details and any permits are confirmed. Call us and we'll give you a realistic date, not a vague window.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Our crews are led by licensed master electricians and we carry full insurance for work on your property. You're welcome to ask about our credentials before we start — we'd rather you feel completely comfortable.
Do you offer emergency service?
We don't offer 24/7 emergency dispatch. For urgent safety concerns like sparking or burning smells, shut off the affected breaker and call your utility, then reach out to us during business hours and we'll prioritize getting you scheduled.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
For work that requires it — panel upgrades, new circuits, generators — we pull the permit and coordinate the inspection so it's done right and on record. This protects your home's value and keeps your insurance valid. You don't have to chase paperwork; we handle it.
Will installing an EV charger overload my electrical panel?
That's exactly why we start with a load calculation. We check whether your current service can support a Level 2 charger, and if it can't, we'll talk options like a panel upgrade before installing. The goal is charging overnight without tripping the rest of your home.
Do you clean up after the work?
Always. We lay down drop cloths, protect your floors, and haul off debris and old materials when we're done. We label the panel and walk you through the work before we leave — a tidy site is part of the job, not an extra.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Raleigh, Cary, Durham and the wider Triangle. If you're just outside those areas, call us anyway — we'll let you know honestly whether we can help.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes, and it's in writing. We stand behind our workmanship and pick up the phone if something isn't right after we've left. Manufacturer warranties on equipment like chargers and generators apply on top of our labor coverage.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept standard payment methods and will go over the specifics when we send your written quote. Payment terms are agreed before work starts, so there are no awkward surprises at the end.
